Baby Skin Rash

Baby Skin Rash is a common problem, but is usually harmless. Many parents are of the opinion that their baby is free of rashes, but it is not the truth, but carelessness. Babies are to be handled with care. The parents need to take a very good care of their babies in order to avoid the skin rashes.

Cradle cap
Cradle cap is a common type of skin rash or skin disorder. Infant babies are mostly the victims of Cradle cap as it is found amongst babies around the age of 3 months. Cradle cap, also known as seborrheic dermatitis causes greasy thick flaky yellow scaling, crusty rashes on the scalps of the infants.

Diaper rash
Diaper rash is caused due to prolonged skin contact of the baby skin with the soiled diapers. It causes a bright red skin rash on the crease of the skin. Plastic diaper, which prevents moisture, should be avoided, instead the use of diapers with absorbent gel could minimize or even prevent the skin rash.

Milia
Milia are a facial skin rash that appears on the nose and chins of the infants. The pearly cysts, which are tiny, are caused due to secretion of the child's oil glands secretion. This skin rash, however, does not require any skin rash treatment, since they tend to disappear within a couple of weeks.
